Lighthouses are historic and iconic structures that suggest a rugged life of solitude by the sea. A lot of people, me included, like taking photos of them. The following are seven examples:
Cape Lookout Lighthouse at Atlantic Beach, NC;

Cape Sear Lighthouse National Historic Site, NL, Canada (The East most point in North America);

Fort Amherst Lighthouse at the Harbor Entrance, St. Johns, NL, Canada - note the large iceberg off shore (1 mile SE toward Cape Spear), and the ruminants of the fort below the light house; Photo Scanned from a Print;

North Pier Lighthouse, St. Joseph, MI; Photo Scanned from a Print;

Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum, Pensacola, FL;

Pt. Reyes Lighthouse, Pt .Reyes National Seashore, CA; See my 8/1/18 Blog entry on Pt. Reyes National Seashore;

Last, is a photo of the Kilauea Lighthouse on a north point of the Hawaiian island of Kauai. (The photo was taken from about a half-mile off shore with the 20x lens; for perspective, the lighthouse in 52 foot tall.
