Our son-in-law, Troy, is now an "edger." He went over the edge this morning as part of a fund raiser for two local charities - Interfaith Human Services and Faith Centre. Troy was one of 70 individuals in the community to raise $1,000 in donations and so earn an opportunity to repel down the side of a the two-year-old Fraser Centre in down town State College.

This is the first year the two charities used this avant-garde way to raise funds. They will share close to $90K from the event.

Jane, who was able to take a couple of hours off from school to watch Troy, decided she wants them to repeat the fund raiser next year so she can repel down the 12 story Fraser Centre.

The associate pastor at St. Paul's United Methodist Church also repelled. Parishioners supported Pastor Becky's repel at a level far beyond the $1,000 threshold for the repel.
