A Fall Ride 2

Bill, Carl, Chuck and I rode the next section of the Pine Creek Trail yesterday, from Slate Run (mile post 35) to Blackwell (mile post 24) and back. While temperatures in the 40s signaled it was fall, the trees did not. Some trees had lost their leaves, but most continued to be green, probably due to very warm and wet weather extending through September. The fall color peek in the Pine Creek gorge is still at least a week away.

As per my 9/29/18 entry, the water falls were running full. After the ride, we enjoyed lunch at the Manor Inn. The guy with the fly rod in the middle of the group photo is a former resident of the area.
