Cooperation

When your wife tells you that you are "too old" be on the roof, but the two roof windows you put in 30 years ago (your babies) need to be replaced when the roof is replaced, you strike a cooperation agreement with the roof contractor. The contractor will do the work on the roof side - remove the two old window as the old roof material is removed, flash the new window frames and chimney, set the new windows, and re-roof.

You will work from the inside (on a step ladder as needed) to downsize the openings, build and set the window frames ("curbs"), guide/center the windows as they are set, insulate, drywall the opening, and paint. Everyone is safe and happy.
