In 2013 and 2014 the Pagula Ice Arena at Penn State hosted Musselman Family Ice Shows that were broadcast on national TV. In the above photo, game ice is lit-up for the opening of the October 2013 show, which was hosted by Kristy Yamagouchi and Michael Wiess. It featured other Olympic skaters and members of their families (e.g., spouses, children) along with country singer Amy Grant.

The 6,000 seat area, which opened in the fall of 2013, is named for Terry and Kin Pagula, owners of the Buffalo Sabers. The Pagulas donated $100M to Penn State particularly to established men’s and women’s NCAA Division 1 ice hockey teams and the area. Prior to that ice hockey was a men’s club sport, brought to prominence by long-time (1987-2006) coach Joe Battista whose men’s club teams won six ACHA Championships and had as many finishes among the top ACHA four. The arena is known locally as "Hockey Valley," a play on the "Happy Valley" nickname for the area.
