Sunset Encounter

I crossed paths within 20 feet of this doe in April 2017 as she was looking for a few nibbles among the rocks. She seemed as surprised to see me as I was to see her. Still, she did not bolt. She stopper her hunt for food, looked at me and then walked away. I was headed over the bluff to get a sunset photos of the Pt. Reyes National Seashore Lighthouse far below. The gate on the path to the lighthouse was locked, so I was not able to check out the red color on the rocks. I suspect it is a red moss that can be seen on the rocks of many California beaches. (For other photos from that evening, see the 8/1/18 Blog Entry.)
