Pair of Bow Ties
Ties are not as fashionable in the casual world of today, and bow ties are something of an anomaly. To my surprise, however, last evening at the closing ceremony and dinner for the 2018-19 Herbert H. Humphrey class at Penn State, I found a compatriot: Janset, the daughter of the Humphrey Fellow for whom Sue and I have been the Community Hosts this year.

Janset and her mother, Gulya, are headed for DC this weekend where Gulya will complete a six-week internship at the American Psychological Association before returning to Uzbekistan. We wish Janset, Gulya and the other fellows safe travels and continue success as they implement in their home countries ideas developed during their fellowships. It has been a pleasure!
