Old Main Evening

First are two photos of Old Main taken on a winter evening. Old Main is the central administrative building at Penn State. It was built in 1929 after the original c1855 fell in disrepair and was demolished.

The clock and the bell in the tower of Old Main were refurbished in recent years (see the 4/28/18 Blog entry "Evolving Tower"). This summer the bell tower limestone is being cleaned and re-pointed. The stone that comprises the dome will be removed, cleaned and reset.
