The leveled bathroom floor is now 1 1/4" higher at the doorway than the hallway outside the door, so a double sill was needed - the typical marble sill on the bathroom tile floor side and a custom-made oak sill (cut using a gig to make it a safer process) on the hall side.

The right wall above the tile line was so damaged from the 1999 remodel and an earlier electrical re-wire in the 1960s [e.g., studs hacked out, a hidden electrical junction box and dangling wires (not appropriate by code), a mix of plaster and drywall]. We corrected the code issues and covering the wall with ship-lap - the best solution. In the process, we added a small vanity, medicine cabinet and curved LED light above.

And last, but not least, we tiled and grouted the wall above the shower alcove in an off-white color.

After about 400 hours of labor (so high mainly due to hidden issues that needed to be corrected), the remodeled bathroom was ready for the final building permit inspection, and painting (after a little more work on the ceiling plaster where the arch once was).
