My Friend Sir Isaac

Have you ever wanted to go back in time? I had the opportunity in 2004 when I met Sir Isaac Newton in London and peeked through a prism with him (the mechanism he used to split white light into the color spectrum). He looked very good considering he was 361 years old. The above photo, of course, was taken at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. I also visited the real grave of Sir Isaac inside Westminster Abby.

Newton was a giant in the history of science who attributed the foundation for his ground-breaking work to the contributions of his predecessors in saying he was, “standing on the shoulder of giants.”
