This blog entry is a continuation from the 11/8/19 entry.
Old growth forest is a rarity. If you want to experience an exemplar example, we recommend Ricketts Glen State Park about 60 miles east of Williamsport, PA. The south side of Red Rock Mountain is an old growth forest acreage through which runs creeks with over 20 major waterfalls, all accessed via a challenging Y-shaped trail. Sue and I hiked the trail in 2005 and 2017. The sample of photos presented here and in the prior blog entry, Ricketts Glen 1, are from our 2017 hike - so many beautiful waterfalls and unique creek scenes.
