Earlier Family Reunion

In my July 30th blog entry, titled "The Clan," I talked about the July 2019 Stauffer Family Reunion held on the homestead in Ashland, OH (group photo show again below). That photo shows the 80 plus descendants of James and Helen Mae Stauffer, Sue's parents. The above photo is of a different family reunion held about 100 years ago. However, this reunion is not of the Stauffers. Rather, it is the McMillens, the family of Sue's mother Helen Mae (McMillen) Stauffer, at the family homestead in Nashville, OH. The McMillens were one of the early families to settle Holmes Co. Ohio, particularly Nashville, in the early 1800s. Helen May McMillen is somewhere in the above photo, but it does not have sufficient detail to identify her.
