Lefty at 90 11/20/21
Lefty is a neighbor known by almost everyone in town for his volunteer work and fund raising, especially for Rotary International projects and at the State College Food Bank. A man who is always on the go, this 1954 graduate from Penn State returned to State College about 15 years ago after retiring twice - from two universities. In the fall before COVID "no fans in the stands" you could find him on Saturdays ushering at Penn State Football games and at Penn State Women's Volleyball games. He also is a avid Penn State Wrestling fan attending most home and away matches. The COVID restrictions just meant his firewood pile got bigger. I saw Lefty most recently, tools in hand about to trim trees in his yard.
