Fire

One of our favorite evening ceremonies during the weeks before Christmas in Colonial Williamsburg are the Illuminations. During an Illumination fire baskets are lit in a sections of the town, accompanied by a military guard unit, fife and drum corps, carolers, or a combination. Few things can beat these displays of fire on a cold and otherwise dark night shared with a few hundred of your friends.
