A Birthday with COVID-19

How do you recognize your son's milestone 40th birthday in the time of COVID-19?

David turned 40 today, but Centre County remains under stay-at-home protocols except for essential workers like him. The recognition was short and definitely with social distancing - the length of our garage.

We asked David to stop by. He raised the garage door revealing something he did not expect, including mom and dad singing happy birthday, and dad with a camera. David was a good sport about the whole thing. Mission accomplished though - he definitely will remember his 40th birthday, even though a full family celebration will come later - once it is safe.
