Empty = Opportunity


On a spring Sunday, even in cool weather, there typically would be a line of seniors, dressed in cap and gown, waiting their turn to have a photo taken at the Nittany Lion Shrine on campus. But on a Sunday when a COVID-19 Stay at Home order is in place, all spring semester residential classes have been moved online, dorms, libraries and most other buildings have limited access,... there are not only no lines at the Nittany Lion Shrine, but no students on the Old Main or the Alumni Center Lawns, no one jogging, walking or biking, none.....It was the perfect day to take photos.

The glare and shadows disappear from the Nittany Lion Shrine when the sun is behind a cloud.

The Library Quadrangle the runs south to downtown:

Pollack Road, east to west.

Formerly the President's House and Duck Pond, now the Alumni Center:
