Wish Fulfilled
When we adopted Ginger four years ago, she was probably in the early stages of the intestinal cancer that ended her life. She was a beautiful soul, but never comfortable with us and kept her distance. As a result, when we started thinking about adopting another cat, Sue was anxious to find a "lap cat."
Meet Obie, our newly adopted cat from PAWS of Centre Co. He is a gentle giant with a large and long frame - almost twice the size of the average house cat. COVID-19 restricted the selection process to web site reviews of cat bios, Zoom meeting with three finalists, and 15 minutes with Obie in a room that was new to all of us just prior to the adoption - not the best situation, but all that was possible under the circumstances.

We took things slowly, but three days later Obie showed signs the Sue's desire for a lap cat had been fulfilled when Obie approached her for a good pet.
