THE number one place for photos on the University Park Campus for graduating students, families and their students, alumni and just about everyone associated with Penn State, is the Lion Shrine - 24/7/365. Periodically, however, the 78 year old shrine is closed for some tending loving care. June 2020 has been one of those periods with the re-opening date schedule to be today.

That notwithstanding, the Lion Shrine is so popular that when I noted to an approaching group that it was closed for cleaning and had a fence around it, one member of the group said, "That's OK, it's the Lion."

July 3, 2020 - The line for photos is back., even though campus is still only open to essential employees.
