Lake Country

The Italian Lake Country, north of Milan near the Swiss border, is a picturesque and tranquil place to vacation. Most notable among the lakes are Como, Iseo and Maggiore. I have previously blogged about Lake Como (6/11/19) and Lake Maggiore (8/15/18) .

We especially liked Lake Maggiore, finding it to be beautiful any time of the day. Included here are photos taken across a late April day - at sunrise, early morning, mid-afternoon and sunset, and at mid-night when fireworks were set-off over the lake to celebrate a wedding held at the hotel we stayed at.
