Clairvoyant Cat? 4/2/22

Over the last decade, we have typically sent the week before Christmas in Williamsburg, VA enjoying the Colonial Holiday scene - re-enactments, concerts, short plays, artwork, Christmas displays, and dining opportunities, especially seafood. We did not go in 2020 because of the rise of COVID, and so were looking forward to heading south when Omicron arose in 2021. We canceled our plans the night before we intended to leave.

Two days earlier, I brought a soft suitcase down from an upstairs closet, placing it temporarily on the floor near the dining room table. Within a few minutes, Obie (our cat) had positioned himself on top of the suitcase. I gently removed him, telling him, "that is not a good place for you to lay," but he immediately went back and stayed there until it was his dinner time.

We had not used that suitcase since before Obie joined the family and we really doubt he understands our conversations. Do we have a clairvoyant cat? Maybe I should talk with him about the PA Lottery or some of our future plans!
