Halloween Traditions 10/31/21

More and more of our neighbors each year appear to be going all out decorating for Halloween. This especially appears to be the case among more recent residents. The contrast was observable as I walked through our neighborhood late this afternoon. The following are photos of three side-by-side houses of more recent residents brightly and lavishly decorated with Halloween displays that include inflatables, lights, music and even animatronics.

In contrast are homes of longer time residents decorated mainly for fall with pumpkins, squash, gourds and fall flowering plants.

Of course, three are "hybrids" that embody some of both Halloween traditions.
