The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, which is administered by the Fulbright Commission, provides 10 month professional development opportunities to enhance leadership capabilities among professionals from 26 developing countries in cooperation with 13 universities in the US. Penn State’s College of Education has hosted Humphrey Fellows for almost five decades. We have had the honor of being community hosts to fellows during four of the last five years – fellows from Bhutan, Uzbekistan , Mauritius, and Egypt. Each fellow has broadened our perspectives on the world. We hopefully have done the same for them with regard to the U.S.

During the fall semester, the fellows typically make presentations (supported by audiovisuals) open to the university on critical issues in which they have been working in their home countries. The following are candid photos from the first six of this year’s 13 Fall 2021 presentations.
