Humphrey Fellows – Part 2 12/20/21

As noted in my 12/15/21 post, the Penn State College of Education has hosted Humphrey Fellows for almost five decades. We have had the honor of being community hosts to fellows during four of the last five years – fellows from Bhutan, Uzbekistan , Mauritius, and Egypt. Each fellow has broadened our perspectives on the world. Hopefully we have done the same for them with regard to the U.S.

During the fall semester, the fellows typically make presentations (supported by audiovisuals) open to the university on critical issues in which they have been working in their home countries. The following are candid photos from the first six of this year’s 13 Fall 2021 presentations.

Joelma Monteiro - COVID 19's Effect on Education in Angola

Sasiporn Phongploenpis - COVID 19's Effect on Education in Thailand

Shahla Davoodi - The Future of Education in Iran

Vuyokazi Jamieson - The Future of Education in South Africa

Madina Pulotova - The Future of Education in Tajikistan

Philipina Marcelo - Higher Education Trends in the Philippines

Nagwa Elnwishy - Higher Education Trends in Egypt
