I found these four portrait photos of sisters in my digital photo collection. It is apparent that three are related, not only by the staging of the photos.
Included are sisters Sandra, Sherrill and Susan Stauffer, and my half-sister Dorian Harvey. The three Stauffer sister each had careers in education: Sandy taught home economics, Sherrill taught elementary school, and Sue taught math. Dorian was a beautician. Each of the Stauffer sisters had the initials "SJS." Was that a coincidence? Sue believes her mother liked the look of SJS as a monogram. Adding starched cotton collars to sweaters, as Dorian is wearing in her photo, was popular at the time.
