With Penn State opening back up with face-to-face instruction for the 2020-21 academic year, clusters of Spin bicycles appeared in campus core to provide, “…safe and orderly mobility [bike sharing] service to students, faculty, and staff…” So if you need to get across campus or downtown, you can literally take a Spin.

Unlike the bikes-share system that Spin replaced, these "e-assist" bikes do not need to be returned to dedicated bike racks; they can be located on the Spin App. As a result, once the semester began the Spin bikes quickly were distributed by users to every corner of campus (and isolated building corner).
