The 2022-23 PSU Humphrey Fellows 11/19/22

“The Humphrey Fellowship Program is a one-year non-degree program of combined academic and professional development opportunities. It brings accomplished mid-career professionals from designated countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East to selected universities in the United States for public service, advanced study, professional training, and work-related experiences, The program was established in 1978 by President Jimmy Carter to honor the late Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey.” * The focus on the Humphrey Fellow program and fellows at Penn State is leadership in education.

Sue and I have been a community host to a fellow at Penn State five of the last six years. As a community host we help fellows interface with the State College community, e.g., loan extra home goods, provides initial shopping rides, host monthly post-lucks, bike rides, invite them for holidays. It has been a wonderful learning experience for us and we hope for them. The following are casual photos from fall 2022. Professional Bios of the 2022-23 Humphrey Fellows can be found at the URL cited below.
