Unexpected 3/23/22

In the early spring, Sue likes to visit the horse barn at Penn State where mares who are about to foal are keep to see the new foals. Driving by on March 17th we unexpectedly sited a mare and her foal in the barn's corral - surely the first of the year. Sue judged the foal to be only a couple of days old and called the half-moon forehead marking "unusual". On these trips to the barn, Sue always fondly recalls the birth of Rebel, the horse she raised and showed as a 4-H project when a girl.
