We Are - A Reflection 1/10/21

A monument adjacent to Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordon Center honors the iconic Penn State cheer, "We Are, Penn State." It was a gift by the Class of 2013.

The day after the 20 inch late December snow storm, we walked the 1.5 miles to the monument as part of our exercise for the day. Though we had been at the monument many times before, on this trip we realized the rather neat effect designed into it by creator Jonathan Cramer. Maybe it was the brightness created by the sunshine and the snow that caused us to notice that the chrome finish creates a mirror effect that makes the viewer on a part of the "We Are."
