Continuing on Wednesdays in 2023 the Reprint of Photos that appeared in prior posts:
My last post of 2022 included some of my favorite sunset photos. To begin 2023 this is a photo of Mt. Denali (the highest peek in North America at 20,310 ft) taken prior to sunrise (about 6:45AM) in mid-September. The location is about 90 miles into Denali National Park from the Park Road looking south across Wonder Lake with Mt. Denali about 20 miles in the distance to the south.
Tourist say there is a 30% change of seeing Denali "uncovered" (without a cloud cover). On this morning the cloud cover was moving to the east in the process of revealing the north face of the peek. The previous day we enjoyed a full reveal the entire day after the peak was covered by clouds the prior two days. On this morning, we were in the process of leaving the park by park bus given the cabin resort where we stayed was soon to close for the winter. The bus driver was kind enough to stop, allowing photos to be taken through open bus windows of this ghostly sight.
